Opened in 1926 at 1 Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island, the historic Hotel Viking is a Colonial Revival-style hotel originally built to accommodate guests visiting the area's Gilded Age mansions. For wedding ceremonies, the property features the on-site Kay Chapel, a restored 1859 landmark featuring stained glass windows, white walls, and hardwood floors. Receptions can be held in the outdoor brick courtyard or inside either the Bellevue Ballroom, which features high ceilings and oversized windows, or the Viking Ballroom, decorated with crystal chandeliers and gilded accents. The venue seats up to 180 guests for a seated reception, with five-hour room rental packages that include an overnight wedding suite and a three-course plated dinner with three passed hors d'oeuvres, with optional premium upgrades available. A four-hour hosted essential bar, champagne toast, and table-side wine service are provided, and guests have access to 208 on-site guest rooms, Spa Fjör, and a heated pool.
