Originally opened as a restaurant in 1954 by Gene Wright, who began by running outdoor chicken barbecues out of a farm garage, the business was purchased by Frank and Joyce Galleshaw in 1972. The layout includes five dining rooms, a 4,000-square-foot gift shop, and the Carriage Room—a private event space featuring its own entrance, parking lot, lounge, and bar. The venue hosts indoor or outdoor ceremonies and seats up to 500 guests for a seated reception. Wedding packages include a private bridal suite with refreshments, a personal wedding coordinator, a wine toast, and a family-style dinner of baked chicken, pasta with marinara, french fries, salad, rolls, coffee, and ice cream.
