Originally opened in 1914 as a dance hall, the venue is located on the second floor of the historic Hobbs Building in Davis Square, which also houses the Somerville Theatre. Guests enter through a private street-level entrance leading to a lobby, a coatroom, and an adjoining lounge with a bar overlooking the square. The main ballroom is designed with Art Deco influences and features high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and large arched windows along Dover Street. The space includes a 360-square-foot elevated stage with an adjacent green room, alongside a kitchen with warming units, a convection oven, an ice machine, and a walk-in refrigerator; no on-site cooking is permitted. The venue seats up to 160 guests for a seated reception or holds up to 500 standing.
