Located at 665 VT RT 9 West in Searsburg, Vermont, Chez Nous is a historic estate centered around a 10,000-square-foot Victorian mansion designed in 1896 by architect William Clark Bull for sisters Mary and Celia Heather. The renovated 20-room mansion includes a library with a polished, inscribed mantelpiece, a tea room, a conservatory opening to an outdoor patio, a wrap-around porch, and six overnight guest rooms—such as the Glenview bedroom with its four-poster walnut canopy bed. For seated receptions of up to 180 guests, the estate features a 3,000-square-foot event barn with chandelier lighting, a performance platform, an attached covered porch, and an upstairs loft room equipped with a TV and a game table. The outdoor grounds include walking paths winding into the woods, lawns bordered by the Heather Brook, and dedicated outdoor ceremony areas. Rental packages provide private use of the mansion to lodge up to 12 guests, 100 chairs, 12 five-foot round tables, and outdoor games, while allowing couples to bring in their own preferred caterers and food trucks.
