Situated on a 12-acre property in Salem, Connecticut, The Salem Herbfarm is a barn and farm venue surrounded by woodlands, lawns, and gardens. The historic estate features an 1840 main house and an 1867 timber-framed barn built with American chestnut posts and pine siding. This restored barn seats up to 140 guests and contains exposed wood beams, a bridal suite, bathrooms, heat and air conditioning, and a catering preparation area. Event spaces extend outdoors to a 3,000-square-foot covered greenhouse with a paved floor, a grassy courtyard, and a 1,000-square-foot blue stone patio that overlooks a pond fountain. Day-of venue rentals include ceremony rehearsal time, chairs, handmade farm tables, three propane fire pits, and an outside bar, though all food service must be arranged through outside caterers.
