Founded in 1954 as a yachting facility, the Guilford Yacht Club is located on a waterfront property at 379 Whitfield Street in Guilford, Connecticut, overlooking Long Island Sound and the salt marshes of the West River. The grounds feature a great lawn with a flagpole, a bluestone patio, and floating docks that allow guests to arrive or depart by boat. Inside, the two-story clubhouse contains a bar area with couches and a fireplace, a boardroom, and a private bridal suite with an en-suite restroom. The main reception area features hardwood floors and opens to a second-floor balcony looking down over the dance floor. The venue accommodates up to 220 guests for a seated reception or up to 300 standing guests, with packages offering five hours of celebration time and catering from preferred partners.

Catering is provided by preferred partners. Options include passed hors d'oeuvres, stationary displays, plated dinners with choice of entrees, family-style dinners, or buffets.
