Multicultural Arts Center

Museum / Cultural in Cambridge, MA. Wedding venue pricing, packages and fees.

Located at 41 Second St, the Multicultural Arts Center is a historic cultural venue in East Cambridge originally designed by architect Charles Bulfinch in 1814, erected in 1889 as a county courthouse, and renovated in 1985 by Graham Gund. The building features a restored two-story theater—originally an ornate courtroom—that showcases an exquisitely embellished ceiling, a wraparound mezzanine balcony, and high arched windows. The facility also includes a second-floor art gallery exhibiting rotating works of art, and guests can access the outdoor Centanni Courtyard, which features brick pathways and a large arbor. An eight-hour rental package includes two hours of set-up time and one hour of clean-up, providing use of the theater, gallery, kitchen, green room, and optional spaces like the Centanni Hallway and two second-floor studios with private restrooms. Because catering is not included in the rental fee, hosts must coordinate with an approved outside caterer.
