Located on the fringe of the Cady Hill Forest in Stowe, Vermont, AWOL Stowe is a boutique hotel featuring 29 minimalist guest rooms and six standalone A-frame cabins designed with knotty pine walls and private porches. The property's main Lodge houses a lower lounge centered around an elevated wood stove, a dining area with a 12-foot communal table, and a four-seat bar with a gas fireplace. This lounge opens onto a side deck with seating for 20 people, which overlooks a lawn, gardens, three communal fire pits, and a Nordic spa deck equipped with a cedar hot tub, cold plunge pool, and a barrel sauna. For weddings, the venue seats up to 120 guests for a seated reception, with rental packages that include five hours of service, indoor and/or outdoor event space, ceremony and reception areas, side deck access, and event consulting and staff. Outside catering is required from approved local partners—including Great Northern, Pozé Catering, Open Hearth Pizza, and Black Diamond BBQ—while bar service is not included in the base rental.
