Located at 368 Main Street in Groton, Massachusetts, The Herb Lyceum is a working four-acre farm on the historic Gilson Family Homestead, which has been operated by the Gilson family since the 1800s. The grounds feature greenhouses, a sunken garden, a fieldstone patio, a seating area shaded by a hickory tree, and herb garden pathways inspired by Provence and Tuscany. While a September 2024 fire destroyed the historic 19th-century post-and-beam carriage house, the venue continues to host events outdoors, under a canopy tent, and inside a converted greenhouse. On-site overnight lodging is available at Birch & Stone, a four-bedroom guesthouse on the property. In-house catering packages feature grazing options, family-style suppers, and custom menus highlighting seasonal, local ingredients, with bar service billed by consumption and dietary accommodations available for vegan, pescatarian, and gluten-free diets.
