Originally built as a hay barn in 1888 and fully renovated in 2014, the 1888 Wedding Barn and Banquet Hall is located in Bethel, Maine's Sunday River Valley. The four-story, 3,500-square-foot main reception hall features pine walls, hand-turned posts and beams, and natural hickory floors. Outside, ceremonies take place in the on-site White Pine Cathedral Forest with a white chair and arbor setup, while a wraparound deck and manicured lawn offer space for cocktail hours. Catering is managed on-site by Chef Charisa, with menu options including stationary appetizers, passed hors d'oeuvres, and a buffet or plated dinner. Packages also provide a complimentary cash bar with bartenders, cake-cutting services, and access to guest lodging options within walking distance.
