Located at 61 South Road on 2. 5 acres of west-facing oceanfront, this landmark Greek Revival-style hotel was built in the 1880s as the Hillcrest Hotel, rebuilt in the 1920s after a fire, and renamed the Chebeague Island Inn in 2000. Ceremonies take place on the lawn overlooking Casco Bay and an adjacent nine-hole golf course, followed by cocktail hour on the wrap-around porch and upper lawn. Receptions for up to 200 seated guests are held in a tent on the side lawn, while the interior features a 1920s-era Great Room with a stone fireplace and 21 guest rooms free of televisions and phones. Wedding packages feature customizable two-course plated, three-course plated, or family-style dinners, and include three passed appetizers, one stationary appetizer, bread service, a vegetarian or vegan entrée option, and cake cutting. Rehearsal dinners, lobster bakes, and farewell breakfasts can be arranged as optional add-ons, though bar service is not included in the base package.
